Pigment Preparation for Textile Printing
Brief Introduction:
This type of pigment preparation is newly developed by our company in order to meet the more strictly requirements on environment protection and printing performance. The products have a very high fastness to heat and light.
It has a wide range of application, it can be printed on cotton, linen, viscose fiber, polyester fiber, polyamide fiber, polypropylene fiber, polyvinyl chloride fiber and other blended fibers. It is suitable for textile dying and printing. It also can be printed on leather, wood, paper and artificial leather etc. And it can be used as water-based coloring agent for interior-wall paint, cement, etc.
Composition:
This pigment preparation is a type of low viscous liquid blended with pigments, wetting agent, emulsifying agent and water,etc.

Usage:
wTake some pigment preparation and water, mix them into printing paste for thoroughly stirring, as the wanted color strength is obtained and then filter it. Stay it for a while till the air bubbles disappear before using.
wRecommended formulation (suitable for cotton or polyester cotton printing):
Pigment preparation: 1-8%, binder: 15-25%, printing paste: 70-80%
wProcess: printing→drying(100℃,2-3 minutes)→baking(130℃-150℃,1-2 minutes)
Storage:
It should be stored in a well-ventilated, cool and dry place (0-40℃) away from light. The container must be sealed tightly after using and avoid contacting the air for a long time. It is recommended to filter the product before using. It also can be used by thorough stirring even settlement or delaminating emerges after long time storage.

Testing methods:
1. Light fastness: GB/T 8427-2008
2. Hot pressing fastness: GB/T 6152-1997 (150℃x 15 seconds)
3. Perspiration fastness: GB/T 3922-1995
4. Discharge fastness: pigment preparation (5%) + discharge printing paste (90%) + decroline (zinc formaldehyde sulphoxylate) (5%) → printing →hot pressing (170℃x 10 seconds)
5. Soap washing fastness: GB/T 392103-1997
6. Dry cleaning fastness: GB/T 5711-1997
7. Glue migration fastness: pigment preparation (3%) + transparent adhesive paste (97%) → printing → white adhesive paste (100%) → hot pressing (150℃x 10 seconds)
8. Sublimation fastness: GB/T 5718-1997 (180℃x 30 seconds)
9. Only the light fastness with the grads of 1-8 (highest), others with grads of 1-5 (highest)

Notes:
1. The fastness of pigment printing depends on the quality and compatibility of binder, glue, fixing agent etc. It is recommended to stir the products thoroughly before using and seal the container immediately after using.
2. Prior to using, all the equipments and tools must be cleaned and make sure that all materials and additives are not included or contacted any unenvironmental materials.
